This version starts at BCS 6/9, collects multiple body weights, calculates percentage change across the recorded period, and keeps the consultation in short question-and-answer steps. Weight trend is treated as part of baseline and reassessment rather than a separate diagnosis, which fits the attached framework.

Design choices

  • BCS 6–7/9 stays in the overweight lane unless obesity-range adiposity is confirmed.
  • BCS 7/9 remains a screening trigger, not a disease-stage diagnosis.
  • Weight trend helps risk assessment, follow-up interpretation, and urgency, but all Three As are still required for clinical obesity.

Who is the patient and what is the current adiposity screening result?

This tool now begins at BCS 6/9 because the clinical framework applies the above-ideal categories from BCS 6–9, with BCS 7/9 acting as the screening zone and BCS 8–9/9 as the usual obesity-range adiposity threshold.

What does the weight trend show over time?

Enter at least two weights if available. The tool will calculate percentage change from earliest to latest recorded weight.

Weight trend, BCS, and MCS are part of routine screening and reassessment. A notable percentage gain or loss should influence the level of concern and follow-up, but it does not replace the Three As.

Is obesity-range adiposity confirmed?

Is there a current, clinically meaningful abnormality beyond adiposity alone?

Adiposity alone is not enough. The abnormality should be current and clinically meaningful.
